G. J. Littlewood & Son, Inc. is a commission dyehouse, specializing in high temperature/high pressure dyeing of synthetic fibers, as well as natural fibers. Littlewood dyes and finishes many types of fibers. From wool and other animal hair, to cotton, and rayon. As well as acrylics, modacrylics, nylon and all types of polyester. Our updated, computer controlled, machinery makes Littlewoods capable of dyeing lot sizes from 1 to 2500 lbs., with sizes in between. Small customers as well as large receive the same quality, flexibility, attention, and quick response. Quality control starts in the lab, where the staff is equipped with a Datacolor Spectrophotometer for matching and formulating. Polymat and Turbomat sample dyeing machine for good quality, repeatable lab dyeings. Production lots are tested for tolerance and checked for fastness before drying, baling, and shipment back to the customer. Our unique "opening system" provides the customer with a desired fluffiness for ease of runnibility. Littlewood is experienced with many types of dyeing, both traditional, and experimental, such as with non-dyeable fibers and treatments.
